The Department of English, Satavahana University, came into existence in the year 2009. The M.A. (English) course has intake strength of 30 students each in the first and second year courses. A semester-wise program, the course offers the following elective papers i.e. American Literature, English Language Teaching, and Indian writing in English. The department is ably supported by the services of qualified and experienced teachers. At present, there are five teachers working in the department. While the three teachers are working as academic consultants, the remaining two are rendering their services as part-timers.

The Department of Chemistry was established with the Satavahana University in the year 2008. A two year M.Sc Chemistry course was introduced in the same year with regular faculty members. The department is training Post-Graduate students in organic chemistry incorporating latest developments in all the areas of chemistry. The faculty is involved in thrust areas of research as catalytic technology, nanotechnology, green organic/inorganic synthesis, natural products, physical organic, renewable energy sources, organometallics, liquid crystals and environmental science. Some of the faculty possesses several years of postdoctoral research experience in reputed institutes around the globe including USA, UK, EU countries and Taiwan.

Department of Botany
The Department of Botany was came into existence in the academic year 2013-2014 with approval of M & DC held on 1st October 2012 , M.Sc- Botany course was introduced as a regular course from the academic year 2013-14. The initial intake of students was only 30.
Dr. N. Venu Madhav, as an In-charge Head in the Department Botany, initially it is established the department with another faculty member Dr. E. Narasimha Murthy. Dr. P. Srinivas .Dr. S. Kiran .
The faculty members have good academic potentials and studied prestigious institutions like Meerut University, University of Hyderabad and Kakatiya University
Dr EN Murthy visited Portugal and Germany. It was started at left flank of LMD, University College of Scince, SU,, Karimnagar. A class room was made into the Laboratory, which was having only skeletal structure to start with equipment, which is quite sufficient to conduct all the practical experiments of the subject. We are conducting regular field demonstrations to develop curiosity and basic understanding of plants in and around Satavahana University campus.
